The DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Multispectral is equipped with an RGB camera to help farmers around the world with precision agriculture. Thanks to the drone’s multispectral imaging system, it is possible to monitor crop growth efficiently and up close.
The Camera
The RGB camera is equipped with a 20 MP image sensor and a 4/3 CMOS sensor with a maximum speed of 1/2,000. It supports continuous high-speed recording at a minimum interval of 0.7 seconds and can quickly capture image data, significantly improving the efficiency of field operations.
In addition to the RGB camera, a multispectral camera with four lenses provides more accurate directional information, giving users a better understanding of crop conditions by detecting details that the human eye cannot perceive. Each of the four multispectral cameras can capture 5 million pixels and scan at the following wavelengths:
- Green (G): 560 nm ± 16 nm
- Red (R): 650 nm ± 20 nm
- Red edge (RE): 730 nm ± 20 nm
- Near-infrared (NIR) 860 nm ± 26 nm
By combining these two cameras, the Mavic 3M enables applications such as highly accurate aerial surveys, crop growth monitoring, and natural resource research.
Centimeter-Level RTK Positioning
The Mavic 3M includes an RTK module that achieves centimeter-level positioning. The drone, its Camera, and the RTK module are synchronized to the microsecond level to accurately determine the position of each Camera’s image center.
This allows the Mavic 3M to perform highly accurate aerial measurements without the use of ground control points. And with a battery life of up to 43 minutes, the Mavic 3M can complete the surveying and mapping of an area as large as 2 square kilometers in a single flight.
A New Tool for Precision Agriculture
The Mavic 3M is useful in a wide range of work scenarios. It can conduct ground-level aerial surveys of mountain forests and orchards. The DJI SmartFarm platform generates an NDVI vegetation index to provide the data needed for more efficient and targeted crop management. Automatic field surveying can detect crop anomalies and perform intelligent analyses, enabling a single person to manage 70 hectares of land.
Work more efficiently with the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Multispectral.
The drone has a battery life of approximately 43 minutes, which is enough to complete a full mapping of a 200-hectare field. Thanks to the 100 W charger, the batteries will recharge quickly, allowing you to start a new mission.
