Another masterpiece from DJI, the DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo is the next addition to the DJI Mavic family.
All the best features of the DJI Mavic series, combined with ultra-portability and a foldable design, along with high-end flight capabilities and functionalities, make this DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo Plus the must-have product of 2018.
New Products
What’s new about this Mavic Air Fly More Combo compared to its Mavic predecessors:
– 3-axis mechanical Gimbal with optimal vibration reduction down to 0.005° ensures even more stable shots
– 32MP Sphere panorama: 25 photos are stitched together in 8 seconds to create a crisp 32MP spherical panorama, which can also be viewed through the DJI Goggles.
– 4K recording at 100 Mbps video bitrate at 30 fps
– 1080p video recording at 120 fps lets you capture slow-motion footage
– New HDR algorithms help you achieve even better exposure in your photos
– The camera features a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor, 12MP with an f/2.8 lens, 24mm (35mm equivalent) for high-quality photos
– Also new is the 8GB of internal storage, in addition to the standard SD card slot.
– and the new USB 3.0 Type-C port is definitely a plus
The controller has also evolved; just like its predecessors, it folds up easily, but now you can also unscrew the controller sticks and store them inside the controller itself—which is handy for tucking it into your jacket pocket.
Activetrack
The updated ActiveTrack can recognize up to 16 objects at the same time, so you can easily choose which object it should follow. With improved tracking precision and more built-in scenarios, your drone now follows your chosen objects even better—even when they’re walking, jumping, or biking.
QuickShots
There are 6 different quickshots to choose from (Rocket, Dronie, Helix, Asteroid, and Boomerang), of which Asteroid and Boomerang are two new ones.
Asteroid lets your drone fly toward your subject from a spherical 360° view—it’s really unique and fun.
Boomerang lets your drone fly away from you in an elliptical path and then return, creating a sort of boomerang effect—much more impressive than a traditional drone that just flies around you.
SmartCapture
The Spark’s gesture control has been revamped, improved, and given a new name.
Tapfly
By tapping your screen, you can send your drone to a specific point further into the frame, allowing you to focus on filming.
Tapfly works in forward, reverse, free, and coordination modes, and you can adjust the flight speed.
FlightAutonomy 2.0
It now features a dual-vision sensor in three directions. This means detection now occurs in front of the drone, beneath it, and behind it.
The IMU is now also dual-channel (redundant) with multiple processing cores, resulting in improved performance.
Advanced Pilot Assistance (APAS) ensures even smoother avoidance of obstacles in front of and behind the device.
