Connect your DJI Spark to a remote controller
When you first receive your DJI Spark, your remote control and drone will already be paired out of the box, but if you purchase a remote control separately or if your remote control isn’t paired, here is a step-by-step guide to help you.
Before you begin, make sure both are fully charged.
- Turn on your DJI Spark and the remote controller.

- If the status LED on the controller is red, it still needs to be paired with the drone.

- Press and hold the “Power” button for three seconds until the drone beeps and the front LEDs begin to slowly flash red.

- On the Controller, press and hold these three buttons at the same time: the Pause button, the Function button, and the Customize button.

- When the LED on the Controller is green, the pairing was successful.

- Now connect your smartphone or tablet to the remote controller, open the Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone or tablet, and connect to the SSID listed on the bottom of your remote controller: “Spark-RC-XXXXXX.”

- Now open your DJI Go 4 app and tap “Start Flight.”

Note: If you only want to connect your drone to your smartphone or tablet—that is, without a remote controller—simply press and hold the Power button on the DJI Spark for 6 seconds, then connect to it through your smartphone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings. Use the Wi-Fi code and password listed on your drone just below the Batterij or on the side of the box your drone came in when you purchased it.
