DJI Mavic Mini Firmware Update

Mavic Mini in flight

Overview of the New DJI Mavic Mini Firmware Update

  • Date: December 31, 2019
  • Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0400
  • Remote Controller: v01.00.0400
  • DJI Fly App for iOS: V1.0.4
  • DJI Fly App for Android: V1.0.4

What’s the news?

  • New feature added: unlock GEO zones (DJI Fly v1.0.4 or later).
  • New feature added: Takeoff is not possible if the GPS signal is too weak ( <, 8 visible satellites) or if there is insufficient ambient light (for the limited number of sensors). You can manually disable this feature (in DJI Fly v1.0.4 or later).
  • Requirement added: If there is insufficient ambient light for the sensors, you must first perform a compass calibration, as the compass is experiencing ambient interference.
  • Adjusted flight altitude and distance in payload mode.
  • Added a warning about the number of times you’ve used the Batterij.
  • Less noise during startup and its self-test procedure.
  • Resolved issue: Your drone did not always pair with the RC in certain regions.

Note:

  • Please note that the update may reset various settings on your remote control—such as the RTH altitude and maximum flight distance—to their default values. Make a note of your settings before performing the update so you can restore them afterward. It’s also a good idea to always check these settings right before each flight.
  • If the update fails, wait long enough, then completely restart the drone, the Remote control, and the DJI Fly software, and try again.
